  • OPENED THE JANUARY 2020 MESA MEETING WITH A MOMENT OF SILENCE TO HONOR THE LATE JOHN O’DONOGHUE

      • PRESENTATION FOCUSED ON HIS COMPANIES WEB-BASED SAFETY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.  FEATURE INCLUDE:

        • PHONE BASED APP FOR USERS

        • TOOL BOX TALK TRACKING

          • CUSTOMIZABLE TOPICS PER LINE OF BUSINESS

          • REPORTING & STATISTICS AVAILABLE INCLUDING:  PARTICIPATION AND SUCCESS RATES

        • ABILITY FOR USERS TO REQUEST SAFETY MATERIALS, LOG PPE, AND TRACK VEHICLE EVALUATIONS

        • CONTINUING EDUCATION OPTIONS AVAILABLE

        • HAZARD TRACKING OPTIONS

  • 2020 SCHOLARSHIP FORM WILL BE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS UPON REQUEST

  • IN MAY 2020 MESA WILL BE TAKING ITS MEETING ON THE ROAD

    • MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE ELEVATOR MUSEUM LOCATED AT 145 ESSEX STREET, HAVERHILL, MA IN THE HISTORICAL BURGESS BUILDING.

  • MESA MEETINGS WILL BE HELD MONTHLY ON THE SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT NOON AT JAKE AND JOE’S NORWOOD.

    • NOTE:  MEETINGS ARE NOT HELD IN JULY AND AUGUST.

  • COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION OF PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY CHIEF OF INSPECTIONS- STEVE SAMPSON ADDRESSED THE GROUP:

    • THERE IS AN EFFORT TO BOOK ANNUAL INSPECTIONS AS THEY ARE PAID FOR

    • NINE (9) NEW INSPECTORS HAVE BEEN HIRED TO KEEP UP WITH THE HEAVIER SCHEDULES

    • COMPANIES MAY NOTICE AN INCREASE IN DAILY INSPECTIONS BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY 2020

    • THIS IS IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP CERTIFICATES AS UP TO DATE AS POSSIBLE AND TO COMPLETE INSPECTIONS BEFORE EXPIRATIONS FOR LIABILITY PURPOSES.

    • INSPECTION CHECKLIST ARE REQUIRED TO BE IN MACHINE ROOMS FOR EACH ANNUAL INSPECTION

      • UNITS THAT DO NOT HAVE A CHECKLIST RISK BEING PLACCARED

      • INCOMPLETE CHECKLISTS MAY RESULT IN A 90 DAY VIOLATION

  • SAFETY MESSAGE:  DANGERS OF ICE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING CLEAR SNOW AND ICE WHENEVER POSSIBLE. KEEPING IN MIND OTHERS MAY HAVE LIMITED MOBILITY OR ABILITY TO CLEAR DANGEROUS ICY AREAS.
